Oscar Reutersvärd. Was born in 1915 in Stockholm. He created the first impossible triangle out of a series of cubes in 1934. Reutersvard produced more than 2500 figures all in japanese (parallel) perspective. |

M. C. Escher. Was born in 1898 in Leeuwarden in the Netherlands. Studied at the School of Architecture and Decorative Arts in Haarlem. Many travel throughout Europe. After 1937 he combined a meticulous realism with paradoxical visual and perspective effects. His images were of equal interest to mathematicians, cognitive psychologists, and the general public, and were widely reproduced in the mid-20th century. |

Sandro del Prete. Was born in Bern Switzerland in 1937. He went to school in Freiburg, where he obtained a diploma in commercial subjects. Drawing and painting had been his favorite hobbies since childhood, and so he traveled to Florence to attend the Art Academy of that City. In developing his style, Mr. Del-Prete coined the term "Illusorism", this means the process of representing optical delusions when drawing pictures. |

Istvan Orosz. Hungary artist was born in 1951. He was trained as a graphic designer at the University of Arts and Design in Budapest. After graduation in 1975, he became involved with theatre, as a stage designer, and animated film. Poster Art came to the center of his interest later. Istvan likes to use visual paradox and illusionistic approaches while following traditional printing techniques such as woodcutting and etching. |

Jos de Mey. Flemish artist was born in 1928. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent Belgium then taught interior architecture and color studies for 39 years. Since 1968 he has concentrated on painting. His works are presented in a style that combines the surrealistic elements of Magritte with the flemish touches of Brueghel and other painters of the low countries. Many of his recent works feature an owl, the paradoxical flemish symbol that simultaneously represents theoretical knowledge and the wily fool. (See also the article "Painting after M.C. Vicente MEAVILLA SEGUÍ was born in Mahón (Spain) on April 26 1949. He is married with two children and has a Bachelor's Degree in Science (Mathematics) from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and a Doctorate Degree in Arts (Pedagogy) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). At the moment, he is a Senior Professor of Maths at "Francés de Aranda" High School in Teruel (Spain) and an Associate Professor in the Maths Department at the University of Zaragoza. |

Lybov Nikolayeva (her pseudonym is NIKOL) was born in Nikolayev (Ukraine). She has been intertested in paining since childhood. In 1982 she began paint by ink. Since this time ink and pen are the main means for illustration her fantasies or scenes from books she read. She had two personal exhibitions. In 2001 she was awarded to premium "Portrait of Dorian Gray" in international festival of fantasy "Star bridge - 2001" in Kharkov (Ukraine). |
