Hermann Paulsen was born in 1918 in Elmshorn (Denmark). Later his family moved to Kiel (Germany). Beign acqauinted with scandinavian art he painted innumerable fable animals and konts. His first impossible knots and later impossible figures was based on this kind of art. Artworks of Hermann Paulsen was shown since 1937. The last exhibition was in 2002 in German Technological museum in Berlin.
